Her talent was discovered slowly and joined a group of girls called Callareign in her hometown. Her career as a professional began in this city. Apryl was determined and fervent who drove her into Los Angeles the entertainment capital of the world. The girls relocating together and the group disbanded, it was a disaster for all of them. Following her relocation, she appeared on"The American Idol" American Idol reality show but failed to reach the top 10. Apryl had also been rejected by Making the Band. Apryl attempted to audition for Pussycat Dolls on Search For The Next Doll. Apryl failed to impress anyone on the panel and was therefore not chosen. She met with a well-known musician performing in the role of a backup singer. The two decided to join the cast of the popular Vh1 TV show Hollywood as one of eight original cast members. The first season chronicles the birth and pregnancy of their child Megaa Omari, who was born on the same day. The second season focuses on Megaa's anxieties and fears about her career in the wake of new successes. Omarion was traveling in the United States and Apryl did not join Omarion for the reunion recording. On the 7th of December in 2015, Apryl announced that they were leaving the show and were not returning next season. The daughter of Apryl was born on 7 March 2016. After four months, Apryl and Omarion have announced their split. Apryl is scheduled to make a guest appearance on season four, where she met along with Lil' Fizz discuss a possibility for a B2K reunion. Apryl makes a return to the series in Season 6, in which she reveals her custody battles with Omarion as well as the media's speculation and scrutiny of her relationships with Lil' Fizz. During the season when the couple admits that they're in a relationship that's romantically entangled, putting her into conflict with Moniece and the others on the cast.
